VfL Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking is to decide whether to let Luiz Gustavo leave this summer, with Manchester United at the front of the queue to land the defensive midfielder.
During a press conference this morning, the tight-lipped VfL Wolfsburg boss told reporters that the club had yet to make a decision.
'As it stands, the only thing that I can say is that no decision has been made in relation to Gustavo's future at the club.'
Dieter Hecking went on to praise the defensive midfielder, saying that 'he is a tremendous asset to the club' and that he would 'love it if he decided to stay'.
According to sources that are close to the player, Gustavo is keen on making the move to Old Trafford because of family-related reasons.
The bid for Gustavo is expected to be in the region of €27 million.
