Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is to decide whether to let Christian Benteke leave this summer, with Southampton at the front of the queue to land the former Villa striker.
During a press conference this morning, the tight-lipped Crystal Palace boss told reporters that the club had yet to make a decision.
'As it stands, the only thing that I can say is that no decision has been made in relation to Benteke's future at the club.'
Alan Pardew went on to praise the former Villa striker, saying that 'he is a tremendous asset to the club' and that he would 'love it if he decided to stay'.
According to sources that are close to the player, Benteke is keen on making the move to St Mary's Stadium because of family-related reasons.
The bid for Benteke is expected to be in the region of €29 million.
