Dortmund have slapped a €34 million price tag on Bayern Munich target Mario Gotze.
It is believed that the former Dortmund player is intent on joining Carlo Ancelotti at the Allianz Arena.
According to several sources, Bayern Munich are extremely interested in acquiring the former Dortmund player.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Dortmund are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Gotze would be joining Bayern Munich, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Dortmund know what they are doing here. Gotze is a terrific player and a price such as €34 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Gotze adds so much to Dortmund that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
