Atletico Madrid have slapped a €37 million price tag on Tottenham target Antoine Griezmann.
It is believed that the Atletico forward is intent on joining Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane.
According to several sources, Tottenham are extremely interested in acquiring the Atletico forward.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Atletico Madrid are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Griezmann would be joining Tottenham, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Atletico Madrid know what they are doing here. Griezmann is a terrific player and a price such as €37 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Griezmann adds so much to Atletico Madrid that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
