Tottenham have slapped a €16 million price tag on Manchester City target Moussa Sissoko.
It is believed that the Newcastle midfielder is intent on joining Pep Guardiola at the City of Manchester Stadium.
According to several sources, Manchester City are extremely interested in acquiring the Newcastle midfielder.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Tottenham are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Sissoko would be joining Manchester City, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Tottenham know what they are doing here. Sissoko is a terrific player and a price such as €16 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Sissoko adds so much to Tottenham that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
