Liverpool have slapped a €35 million price tag on Manchester City target Adam Lallana.
It is believed that the English playmaker is intent on joining Pep Guardiola at the City of Manchester Stadium.
According to several sources, Manchester City are extremely interested in acquiring the English playmaker.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Liverpool are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Lallana would be joining Manchester City, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Liverpool know what they are doing here. Lallana is a terrific player and a price such as €35 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Lallana adds so much to Liverpool that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
