Bayern Munich have slapped a €13 million price tag on Real Madrid target Philipp Lahm.
It is believed that the Bayern defender is intent on joining Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to several sources, Real Madrid are extremely interested in acquiring the Bayern defender.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Bayern Munich are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Lahm would be joining Real Madrid, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Bayern Munich know what they are doing here. Lahm is a terrific player and a price such as €13 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Lahm adds so much to Bayern Munich that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
