Arsenal have slapped a €42 million price tag on Barcelona target Mesut Ozil.
It is believed that the Arsenal playmaker is intent on joining Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou.
According to several sources, Barcelona are extremely interested in acquiring the Arsenal playmaker.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Arsenal are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Ozil would be joining Barcelona, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Arsenal know what they are doing here. Ozil is a terrific player and a price such as €42 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Ozil adds so much to Arsenal that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
