Dortmund have slapped a €26 million price tag on Barcelona target Sven Bender.
It is believed that the German midfielder is intent on joining Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou.
According to several sources, Barcelona are extremely interested in acquiring the German midfielder.
'He's a great asset to have', remarked one insider. 'Personally, I think that Dortmund are mad to let him go.'
As rumours continued to spread that Bender would be joining Barcelona, former Liverpool player and football television pundit Jamie Carragher voiced his concerns about the move.
'I'm not sure that Dortmund know what they are doing here. Bender is a terrific player and a price such as €26 million will not make up for losing him.'
Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville was in agreement with Carragher: 'Bender adds so much to Dortmund that it would be ludicrous for them to sell him now.'
