Gary Neville: 'Ronaldo to Liverpool makes sense.'

Posted 24 Apr 2018 by Sara Davidson.

Former Manchester United player Gary Neville has said that the possible transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Liverpool 'makes a lot of sense.'

While speaking on Sky Sports, the soccer pundit said that the move would benefit the Portuguese winger.

'Clearly, he isn't suited for the type of tactics that Zinedine Zidane likes to employ.'

'At Liverpool, I think he'll be given the freedom to express himself.'

'I also think that he will get on extremely well with Jurgen Klopp.'

Neville's comments were in response to reports that the Portuguese winger was on his way to Anfield for €80 million.
