Gary Neville: 'Benzema to Manchester City makes sense.'

Posted 20 Sep 2018 by Sara Davidson.

Former Manchester United player Gary Neville has said that the possible transfer of Karim Benzema to Manchester City 'makes a lot of sense.'

While speaking on Sky Sports, the soccer pundit said that the move would benefit the Real Madrid striker.

'Clearly, he isn't suited for the type of tactics that Zinedine Zidane likes to employ.'

'At Manchester City, I think he'll be given the freedom to express himself.'

'I also think that he will get on extremely well with Pep Guardiola.'

Neville's comments were in response to reports that the Real Madrid striker was on his way to the City of Manchester Stadium for €29 million.
