Gary Neville: 'Verratti to Dortmund makes sense.'

Posted 25 Feb 2018 by Sara Davidson.

Former Manchester United player Gary Neville has said that the possible transfer of Marco Verratti to Dortmund 'makes a lot of sense.'

While speaking on Sky Sports, the soccer pundit said that the move would benefit the Italian midfielder.

'Clearly, he isn't suited for the type of tactics that Unai Emery likes to employ.'

'At Dortmund, I think he'll be given the freedom to express himself.'

'I also think that he will get on extremely well with Thomas Tuchel.'

Neville's comments were in response to reports that the Italian midfielder was on his way to the Westfalenstadion for €44 million.
