Former Manchester United player Gary Neville has said that the possible transfer of Marco Verratti to Atletico Madrid 'makes a lot of sense.'
While speaking on Sky Sports, the soccer pundit said that the move would benefit the PSG midfielder.
'Clearly, he isn't suited for the type of tactics that Unai Emery likes to employ.'
'At Atletico Madrid, I think he'll be given the freedom to express himself.'
'I also think that he will get on extremely well with Diego Simeone.'
Neville's comments were in response to reports that the PSG midfielder was on his way to the Vicente Calderon Stadium for €42 million.
