Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher caused controversy last night when he claimed that Sergio Aguero wasn't 'good enough' for a team like Manchester City.
'If I were Pep Guardiola, I would be looking to off-load him as soon as possible.'
'It is clear that he is not happy at the City of Manchester Stadium and that he is not living up to the standards of the club. There are also rumours floating around that VfL Wolfsburg are willing to pay €49 million for him.'
'If I were Pep Guardiola, I'd take the €49 million and drive him to the airport.'
The former Liverpool defender also went on to say that a team like Manchester City should not be giving into ridiculous contract demands.
'Let him go to VfL Wolfsburg. Let him be Dieter Hecking's problem. There's no way that I'd let him hold the club to ransom.'
The statements from Carragher come on the back of reports that the Man City striker had walked out of contract negotiations with the club.
