Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher caused controversy last night when he claimed that Christian Eriksen wasn't 'good enough' for a team like Tottenham.
'If I were Mauricio Pochettino, I would be looking to off-load him as soon as possible.'
'It is clear that he is not happy at White Hart Lane and that he is not living up to the standards of the club. There are also rumours floating around that Juventus are willing to pay €36 million for him.'
'If I were Mauricio Pochettino, I'd take the €36 million and drive him to the airport.'
The former Liverpool defender also went on to say that a team like Tottenham should not be giving into ridiculous contract demands.
'Let him go to Juventus. Let him be Massimiliano Allegri's problem. There's no way that I'd let him hold the club to ransom.'
The statements from Carragher come on the back of reports that the Danish playmaker had walked out of contract negotiations with the club.
