Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher caused controversy last night when he claimed that Mario Gotze wasn't 'good enough' for a team like Dortmund.
'If I were Thomas Tuchel, I would be looking to off-load him as soon as possible.'
'It is clear that he is not happy at the Westfalenstadion and that he is not living up to the standards of the club. There are also rumours floating around that Manchester City are willing to pay €32 million for him.'
'If I were Thomas Tuchel, I'd take the €32 million and drive him to the airport.'
The former Liverpool defender also went on to say that a team like Dortmund should not be giving into ridiculous contract demands.
'Let him go to Manchester City. Let him be Pep Guardiola's problem. There's no way that I'd let him hold the club to ransom.'
The statements from Carragher come on the back of reports that the German midfielder had walked out of contract negotiations with the club.
