Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher caused controversy last night when he claimed that Branislav Ivanovic wasn't 'good enough' for a team like Chelsea.
'If I were Antonio Conte, I would be looking to off-load him as soon as possible.'
'It is clear that he is not happy at Stamford Bridge and that he is not living up to the standards of the club. There are also rumours floating around that Real Madrid are willing to pay €32 million for him.'
'If I were Antonio Conte, I'd take the €32 million and drive him to the airport.'
The former Liverpool defender also went on to say that a team like Chelsea should not be giving into ridiculous contract demands.
'Let him go to Real Madrid. Let him be Zinedine Zidane's problem. There's no way that I'd let him hold the club to ransom.'
The statements from Carragher come on the back of reports that the Serbian defender had walked out of contract negotiations with the club.
