Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has told reporters that the club will not be accepting any transfer bids for Fernando Torres.
'He is an integral part of the team and we will do everything in our power to keep him', said the Atletico Madrid manager.
The statement was made in response to media reports that Tottenham are planning to launch a €3 million bid for the former Chelsea player.
Despite Diego Simeone's claims that Torres is not for sale, one well-placed source at the Vicente Calderon Stadium has said that the club is willing to part ways with the former Chelsea player if an acceptable is received.
'If someone comes in with a bid of around €3 million, then I can see that being accepted.'
