VfL Wolfsburg boss Dieter Hecking has told reporters that the club will not be accepting any transfer bids for Nicklas Bendtner.
'He is an integral part of the team and we will do everything in our power to keep him', said the VfL Wolfsburg manager.
The statement was made in response to media reports that Manchester City are planning to launch a €5 million bid for the Danish striker.
Despite Dieter Hecking's claims that Bendtner is not for sale, one well-placed source at the Volkswagen Arena has said that the club is willing to part ways with the Danish striker if an acceptable is received.
'If someone comes in with a bid of around €5 million, then I can see that being accepted.'
