West Brom rule out Phillips transfer.

Posted 21 Sep 2017 by Sara Davidson.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has told reporters that the club will not be accepting any transfer bids for Matt Phillips.

'He is an integral part of the team and we will do everything in our power to keep him', said the West Brom manager.

The statement was made in response to media reports that Southampton are planning to launch a €9 million bid for the Scottish winger.

Despite Tony Pulis's claims that Phillips is not for sale, one well-placed source at The Hawthorns has said that the club is willing to part ways with the Scottish winger if an acceptable is received.

'If someone comes in with a bid of around €9 million, then I can see that being accepted.'
