TODAY, Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez blasted A.S. Roma over what he called a 'blatant attempt' at tapping up Jonjo Shelvey.
During a press conference this morning, the Newcastle boss said that it was 'disgraceful' that A.S. Roma were able to contact the Newcastle midfielder without first gaining permission from the club.
The statements come on the back of earlier reports that A.S. Roma had a €12 million bid for the player rejected.
